Celebrated the day before Ash Wednesday, Shrove Tuesday is the final day before the 40-day period of Lent begins. This year it falls on Feb. 13th.
While in the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries, pancakes are traditionally eaten, other countries across the globe celebrate with different dishes. Louisiana famously celebrates Mardi Gras (French for “Fat Tuesday”) on this day, a carnival that includes a giant parade through the city. Join us as we celebrate Mardi Gras at St. Lawrence!
