St. Lawrence helps resettle recent arrivals from Afghanistan and Venezuela through a collaboration with Episcopal Migration Ministries, Sponsor Circles, and the Diocese of Chicago Sanctuary Task Force. These organizations match us with recent arrivals, whom we house on a transitional basis while helping them become self-sufficient. NorthShore Welcome, includes members of our four Better Together Episcopal Churches; it is also open to anyone who would like to help with this ministry. If you would like to learn more about this project, email us at northshorewelcome@trinitychurchhp.org.

We are raising money to help cover housing costs, living expenses, and create a “nest egg” for our guests. St. Gregory’s has created a link to donate directly to the project; CLICK HERE TO DONATE ONLINE.
You may also donate by check. Please identify “Refugee program” in the memo line.
All monies donated will benefit the work with the current guests; remaining funds will be applied either to welcoming another family (if our churches feel called to do so), or to other refugee resettlement ministries.
The vestry of Trinity Episcopal Church has approved the use of the church rectory to provide transitional housing.
Please see our SignUp Genius for some of the items needed to help our guests settle into their own homes. We accept both gently used and new items.
